To the Rescue!
Vince Vaughn has a thing for the ladies, young and old. The New York Daily News reports the Swingers stud rushed to the aid of an elderly woman recently while filming his new mob comedy Made. The paper says Vaughn was shooting a fight scene with Jon Favreau and Jennifer Esposito on the streets of New York when he saw the woman, a pedestrian, trip over a production cable. Vaughn broke character and ran over to help the woman. He even bandaged her wound and escorted her into an ambulance. The News says that the medical personnel also tried to help the actor after confusing his fake blood for the real thing.

Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau join together again in "Made"
Swingers duo has it Made
By Charles Lyons
HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - "Swingers'' duo Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn will next spring reunite for the first time since that 1996 cult hit when they star in and produce a gangster flick.
"Made'' tells the story of two wanna-be Los Angeles mobsters who work as club boxers and construction workers. The pair is sent to New York in a comic and dramatic attempt to become "made'' men. Artisan Entertainment has acquired worldwide rights to the film.
"The chemistry between John and Vince onscreen and off is incredible,'' said Artisan president Bill Block. "'Swingers' was such a critical favorite and when 'Made' came to us we acted quickly to bring this film into the Artisan fold.''
Favreau and Vaughn had intended to work together on Favreau's "Guam Goes to The Moon'' at Paramount, but the duo has fallen off that project.
Vaughn can next be seen starring opposite Jennifer Lopez in New Line's "The Cell.'' Favreau stars opposite Famke Janssen ("GoldenEye'') in "Love and Sex,'' which debuts at Sundance.

From September 3rd's Edition of FASHION DISH. "The hottest color of summer isn't dead yet. Gwen Stefani and boyfriend Gavin Rossdale startled pals at a party last week when they walked in wearing matching heads of hot-pink hair. "They'd had it done together," says a partygoer, who adds that Gwen's hair "looks like a cross between Deborah Harry and Farrah Fawcett-- half choppy, half feathered." The two also matched their outfits. Gwen wore pants with a skirt on top, plus an army-green coat, wedge heels and toe rings. Gavin sported an anorak and Pumas. The party, at the home of No Doubt's drummer Adrian Young, also drew Vince Vaughn. "All the girls were coming inside when Vince got there, but you'd hardly recognize him," our source says. It sounds like the "Swingers" stud looked more like the hippie-esque Jim Carrey at the MTV Movie Awards, with long, sloppy hair and a beard. After ogling Vince, guests played horseshoes and ping-pong, and at midnight, munched on fresh delivered pizza."
Variety August 25, 1999. Ed Harris is in talks to join Vince Vaughn in Gregory Mosher's "The Prime Gig" for Cary Woods' Independent Pictures. Pic is about a young telemarketer (Vaughn) who goes to work for a polished con man. A plan to steal an elderly woman's life savings causes the telemarketer to rethink things.
The Cell with Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Lopez, August '99. The Cell with Jennifer Lopez is a definite go! Filming begins this month [or atleast that's what I heard on MTV]. Let's hope that Vince and Jennifer Lopez are as steamy together as she was with George Clooney in Out of Sight [which was the most underrated movie of the year - it was fabulous].
August '99: Wiz's "Where is Vince Vaughn?" Rant. Well, well, well. Vince sure is doing his best to keep a very low profile. I'd say the invisible man routine is working rather nicely. No new interviews, no new pictures, no new nothing. Ok, he did make a few public appearances at movie premieres including both Austin Powers and Go [below], but other than that, absolutely NO Vince.
So, this is an open solicitation to Vince Vaughn and anyone who may be associated with Vince: I need help before my little ole' site becomes so BORING that no one will ever visit again! Send me anything you got. I'm am completely serious and completely desparate.
The ONLY news I do have is that some people have reported [unofficially of course] that Vince and Joey Lauren Adams may have broken up. The only thing us commoners know is that Vince attended the two above premieres ALONE! Could this be Vince is single? Is Vince in search of a NEW love? [Note to all women reading this: pleae do NOT email me and ask if this break up is true or not since I really have no clue].

Nice hat, Vince! Zeny [from the Dwight Yoakam page], informed me that the hat says "Dwight Yoakam's Bakersfield Biscuits."
Vince turned out last week for the premiere of Doug Limon's new flick, Go. Limon also directed Vince in Swingers way back in '96!
Is Vince on TV this week? Click here to find out.
Vince a Recording Star?Old 97s have a promotional CD single of the song "Murder (Or A Heart Attack)". The promo includes a short track of Vince discussing the band. Want to know more about Old 97s? Visit their homepage: click HERE. In kinda-related news, Old 97's opened for one of my favorites, Cake, this summer. I saw them at the 9:30 Club in DC on June 11th.
A Cool Dry Place Trailer. If you rent "Polish Wedding", it includes a trailer of A Cool Dry Place. You can get A Cool Dry Place on video starting May 18th.
The Late, Late Show: 4-1-99. Vince was Craig Kilborn's 3rd guest on his new late show on CBS, which follows Letterman. I try to do a search on VV from CBS.com's page and this is what I get: "When looking for Vince Vaughn, you will never be disappointed as long as the bar is kept low."
Hello? Am I missing something?
Vince Filming? And, I've been told that filming starts next month for the Dwight Yoakam movie, "South of Heaven, West of Hell." Let's get a new Vince movie out there!
Is Vince in the new Jackie Chan movie? Has he bailed from Ghostbusters? Who knows for sure?! It looks like the talks are off for Ghostbusters but Shanghai Noon could still happen. Let's hope not, though, - action movies are duds. Let's see more indie COMEDIES a la Swingers!
Vince in Ghostbusters? Is Vince going to star in the next Ghostbusters? Army Archard reported that he is talking about signing on as a new "Ghostbuster." Filming to start in Spring 1999. Vince is rumored to be joining Dan Ackroyd as the newest *ghost buster.*
Hey, maybe they'll pull Ray Parker, Jr. out of hiding to do another song....
Tonight Show with Jay Leno: 12-11-98. I didn't watch the interview but supposedly there was talk of Vince dressing up in full Kiss makeup and streaking. Hmmmmm...
Saturday Night Live: 12-5-98. If you missed it - the episode wasn't that great but Vince proved himself to be a very good sketch comedy actor. He was very funny in skits such as Dog Show! and Psycho-knock-off with Cheri Oteri as his annoying mother.
Too Sexy... Both People and Playgirl magazines dubbed Vince as one of the sexiest men of the year. Even though People said Harrison Ford was the "Sexiest Man Alive" - they still gave kudos to Vince, among others. The other men on Playgirl's list include: Lenny Kravitz, Antonio Banderas, Thomas Gibson, Rick Shroeder, Lachlan Murdoch, Dave Matthews, Ingo Rademacher, Mike Piazza [my favorite baseball player], and Ralph Fiennes.
The 1998 VH1 Fashion Awards. Vince Vaughn was nominated again this year [also in 97] for Male Best Personal Style. But, he lost to Chris Rock.
This year's awards took place on Oct. 27 at 9pm from New York City's Madison Square Garden. The show was hosted by Ellen Degeneres. Other winners included:
Most Stylish Music Video: Janet Jackson - "Got Til It's Gone"
Best Personal Style-Female: Cameron Diaz
Best Personal Style-Male: Chris Rock
Versace Award Madonna
Most Fashionable Artist: Madonna
The MOST...
Movieline's November issue names the "100 Most" actors.
Vince Vaughn was named the most *groovy* actor. Other winners include:
Courtney Love: Most unconvincing make over
Keanu Reeves: Most mysterious
CNN is reporting that Vince has signed on to be in the movie "South of Heaven, West of Hell" - screenplay written by & will be directed by Dwight Yoakam. Peter Fonda and Billy Bob Thornton have also signed on for the film. Filming is to start soon...
Vince in a Yoakam Video. Vince is in the newest Dwight Yoakam video "These Arms." The video feaures Vince and real-life girlfriend, Joey Lauren Adams, as a couple who are having a disagreement.
Vince on Rosie O'Donnell. April 29, 1998--Sporting a very shaved head [not quite bald], Vince had an all-too-brief interview with Rosie, who spent entirely too much time with Maria Carey and some kid who could recite all the Presidents & party affiliations [whoo-wee!].Vince told Rosie that he was named Vince because his mom liked the "double V" thing - his dad is Vernon. Therefore, the kids were Vince, Valerie, and Victoria. Pretty cool tidbit I had never heard!Vince showed a clip of his movie, Return to Paradise, with Anne Heche, due out in August. The film also stars Joaquin Phoenix and Jada Pinkett. While filming in Thailand, Vince got sick at McDonald's - he said it was probably the "special sauce."Vince told Rosie about doing musical theater as a kid. As an 8-year-old, he played Daddy Warbucks in Annie, opposite a 12-year-old Annie. Vince said he was the worst singer and had to "Yul Brynner" his was through the songs [i.e. basically speak his lyrics].
This past summer, Vince made all the rounds on the talk shows - Letterman, Leno [8-10-98], Rosie O'Donnell. I only caught the lame interview with Rosie [not Vince's fault]. He looked great but Rosie only talked about herself and didn't really give Vince much of a chance. Oh, well. That show is lame, anyhow.
The Larry Sanders Show, April 12, 1998 [HBO]: Vince Vaughn plays himself on the newest episode of Larry Sanders. Hank [Jefferey Tambor] and Vince get into a little playful kidding while on-air that Hank didn't think was nearly as funny off-air. So, when Hank's Bentley gets hit in the parking garage, he's convinced it's Vince Vaughn. Funny episode but aren't they all?!
MTV Movie Awards Featuring Vince... As usual, MTV puts together a really lame show with moments of hilarity. Samuel L. Jackson was a cool host though not as insane as Mike Meyers last year.
The opening video clip was Vince "Carl" Vaughn and Ben "Jer" Stiller playing swarmy producers trying to convince James Cameron to remake Titanic and call it Titani [Tie-tawn-knee]. The idea being an air pocket was created and the people in the water didn't freeze to death but lived in an underwater village. They called it Titani because that was all they could spell out of the name of the mighty ship sticking out of the mud.
It was the funniest clip of the night.

Entertainment Asylum 1998: Q&A With Vince Vaughn
Marriage... Joey Lauren Adams ["Chasing Amy" & "Dazed and Confused"] and Vince Vaughn are officially an item. Here is the clip from CyberSleaze:
The couple were partying away at a Hollywood bash when a photographer asked for a quick snap of the giggling duo. Adams reportedly then took the woman photographer aside and said, "You can shoot us when we get married."

Anne Heche Responds to Rumor: "We knew the [rumor] was gonna happen: 'It's getting near a year now; we have to make Anne a heterosexual again.'" Anne Heche, on her "affair" with Vince Vaughn.
Q: You wrote that Ellen DeGeneres and Anne Heche were cozy as ever. But I read elsewhere that Heche has developed an attraction for a male actor. Who is right? L. Williams, New Haven, CT
A: Perhaps both of us. Heche, 28, may be having second (or is it third?) thoughts about her sexual orientation. Our source on the set of her latest film, Force Majuere, says sparks flew between Heche and her 6-foot-4 co-star, Vince Vaughn, 27. We're told that she also flirted with other actors except when DeGeneres, 40, came to visit. Her agent says Anne and Vince are "just good friends."
